Remembering, Drumming, Considering Time

November 11, the fourth day of a week dedicated to Intentional Change and Healing the Hurts of Humanity on Humanity Rising, we direct our attention to the time of our lives – honouring it with a Global ritual, and considering how it has been -and could be- divided. In short, this is what’s planned:

  1. Remembrance Day, also known as Veterans Day, honouring all humanity: past, present and future;
  2. Global Drum Gathering – the last of a series of four;
  3. Nature inspires 13 month/28 day calendars.

Remembrance Day:

Many countries have held ceremonies on November 11 in which we paused for one minute at 11:11 to honour those who died in war. This year, during our Global Drum Gathering (to be shared online on Humanity Rising) we honour not only our dead, but we who are living and those who are yet to be born – our past, present and future.

Global Drum Gatherings:

Some Global Drum Gatherings have already taken place, rolling around the Earth at 11:11am in every timezone. Dates of this series are:

  • 8/8 – August 8 honoured the Earth and Water
  • 9/9 – September 9 honoured the Moon and Fertile Darkness
  • 10/10 – October 10 we honour the Sun and the Light of Love
  • 11/11 – November 11, Honouring -past, present and future-  All of Humanity.

These global drum circles appear to be a manifestation of a vision I received.  Why have I been so inspired? One of the reasons I am that… is the Promise I made:  “I will speak for You, when the time is right.”  The time feels right!  (If not now, when?)

Guidance told me to “Call the Grandmothers” but I didn’t know how, who or what to say.  In January 2020 I wrote “Drum Circle for the Green Man”.  On May 21, 2021, I shared it aloud with Jim Garrison and the world on Humanity Risings’ 1st Anniversary. It includes the words:

I envision everyone, whole towns and cities, societies,
All drumming ~ a beat every second…
Fusing our souls by the sound of the drums
In a beat that seals our entanglement.

How often and /or how long remains to be seen /heard
Feeling the beat inside of our-cells, we’ll be part of It ~ and It of us
Like morning prayers sung from a spire…

and:

Can we start… Our Heart?

Then the Global Drum Gathering appeared on Facebook. The date -August 8- -8/8- -Lions’ Gate- sparked our imaginations. Playing with possibilities for a series on subsequent doubles, we were inspired by Jose Arguelles’ Mayan Calendar, in which Joan Hardy, my BFF, is a Blue Cosmic Eagle and I am a Red Resonant Dragon.

Find your own Galactic Signature according to the Mayan Calendar here.

We feel MOM has Her hand in the plan! (MOM = Magic in Ordinary Moments = the active Hand of the Divine). Check out the Deep Dive for inspiration sparked by the Mayan Calendar.

Furthermore, the numbers in 11:11 are seen as a gateway – we are crossing a threshold…

The 11/11 Around-the-World Global Drum Gathering begins at about 11:00 in the first TimeZone, the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The drums stop for one minute at 11:11am in each TimeZone and begin again at 11:12, holding that one minute of Now in blessed silence, in honour of our forebears, descendants and All Our Relations. That pattern will recur in every timezone; wrapping Our Universal Wave of Love around the Earth and, if only in our vivid imaginations, jump-starting the Heart of the One We Are!

Humanity Rising’s presentation will occur in the Eastern TimeZone of North America beginning at 11:00 ET. I am honoured, and grateful to Humanity Rising, our guests and our audience for taking part in this massive Around-the-World ritual.

13 Month/ 28 Day Calendars

The calendar we live by, the Gregorian calendar (“schedule of debt”), keeps us always off balance. Our speakers (TBA soon!) will introduce four different ways to mark Time, based on Nature’s rhythms:

  • The Mayan calendar, from Central America, that inspired (more than) the Global Drum Gathering Series;
  • The Magoist calendar, from Korea, South East Asia, based on Women’s Wisdom and the Goddess Mago;
  • Convolutes, a convoluted weaving of wisdoms that promises to intrigue and inspire;
  • The traditional Ojibwe calendar from the North American Indigenous nation.

A series of episodes on Humanity Rising is in the works to present each of these 13 month/28 day calendars more fully.

This is the fun part!
