This website (OhGs!) has a purpose and, I believe, a destiny. To develop and become what it needs to be, it needs to have clarity and coherency — two things that I strive for, often without success. I’m not a great planner either.
OhGs is a plan that deserves to have others involved. Others of you already are, though you may not see or know yourself to be. I may have mentioned it to you, like I did Stanley Pokras, creator of the AfterChat of Humanity Rising and OtherNetworks.org. He’s the one who coined the term “Social Argonauts”, the tech wizards and communication gurus of Our Heart Gardens, “in search of the Golden Peace”. He believes this is the dawning of the Age of Helpfulness.
Jim Garrison is another involved person, though he may not acknowledge or even be aware of it. As president of Ubiquity University and host of Humanity Rising, he provides some of the free global education envisioned in the OhGs plan. If you have not come to Humanity Rising yet, please register to come to the Zoom, if you can. It was in the Zoom chat that the AfterChat was conceived, and many connections happen in the daily AfterChats that I help Stan moderate.
Jamen Shively and Marco Elstermann are “Social Argonauts” found at TheConversation.cc almost all the time, especially on Fridays at the 24 hour Block Party. Jamen (who turned 55 on 5/5 – happy birthday!!) created the venue and Marco (and others) help to hold the portal open. It’s where I hold Gaia’s Zoom Room on Tuesdays from 6-8pm PT. It’s also the home of Food Healers and Kindred Spirits.Earth, manifesting from the work of Chief Phil Lane Jr., and the Choktaw and Irish First Nations.
As I see it, Our Heart Gardens is a pattern Humanity is naturally falling into as we come to realize that by helping our neighbours and our communities to thrive, we do too. Money, and the need to pay bills, gets in the way. By creating the OhGs network, that supports the System that supports us, we find our way back to ways of thriving outside the System that’s fed by time and money. The System needs modification, but it also needs participation. We need the lights to work, the streets and cars to get fixed, movies and museums, theatres and sports teams… and they may all come to change in the times to come, but mostly, right now, we need food and friends to help us through these tough times.
To allow the clarity and coherency of this website’s purpose to unfold, I’ve created a new website to hold my stories, my art and my adventures, and will remove most of that from this site. I will continue to be a presence here, as Vision Holder.
