Tuesday at 6pm Pacific Time at TheConversation.cc, Gaia’s Zoom Room opens for Conversations about Our Heart Gardens, structured by the 6 Now What?! Conversations. Come; join us and let’s make a plan ~

We’ve had the Invitation Conversation and talked about Possibilities. We touched on Ownership and it seemed more needed to be said so we’re going to revisit it. Ownership and Dissent are the Conversations we will consider together tomorrow:

The Ownership Conversation

Now What?! suggests you act as if you are creating what exists in the world. The distinction is between ownership and blame. Do you desire ownership of /participation in this world-changing OhGs project – or do you blame outside forces that make it seem impossible?

Questions offered for this Conversation:

  • How valuable a project do you plan for this to be?
  • How much risk are you willing to take?
  • How participative do you plan to be? What is your response-ability?
  • To what extent are you invested in the well-being of the whole?

The all-purpose ownership question:

  • What do I complain about or want to change? What have I done to contribute to it?

Questions that can help define and complete our story, and remove any limiting quality are:

  • What is the story (about living in a community) that you hear yourself most often telling? The one you are wedded to and maybe even take your identity from?
  • What are the payoffs you receive from holding on to that story?
  • What are the costs of your attachment to the story?

The Dissent Conversation

The dissent conversation creates an opening for Commitment (next week’s Conversation, along with Gifts). When dissent is expressed, just listen. Don’t solve it, defend against it, or explain anything. The primary distinction is between dissent and lip service. A second distinction is between dissent and denial, rebellion, or resignation. This, for me, is difficult. Listening at this level is a skill we don’t get a lot of practice in.

The Questions

  • What doubts and reservations do you have?
  • What is the no or refusal that you keep postponing?
  • What have you said yes to that you no longer really mean?
  • What is a commitment or decision that you have changed your mind about?
  • What resentment do you hold that no one knows about?
  • What forgiveness are you withholding?

In this Conversation, my intention is to look at what keeps us apart, and what hurdles we may face as we seek the path forward that takes us to OhGs, the Most Beautiful World we cannot even imagine, in which Everyone has a local Heart that holds them with love and awareness, Peace prevails and our beautiful Earth thrives.

Bless you, and all you do! I look forward to greeting you in Gaia’s Zoom Room, Tuesday, as always, at 6pm Pacific Time at TheConversation.cc.
