Today I was considering two new courses Ubiquity University highlighted last week during Humanity Rising: the MRA (Master in Regenerative Action) and the Master of Arts in Tolerance Studies and Global Peace. Both are very attractive and I felt the need to look at them more closely in discussion with Joan, my BFF. She and I have been fast friends ever since meeting in an online Tarot course focused on our favourite deck: The Gaian Tarot by Joanna Powell-Colbert.
First we looked at the course outlines here: Ubiquity University’s Programs. Then we decided to ask MOM for some advice from beyond the veil.
I shuffled the cards as we talked about what questions to ask and the format of the reading. Once the deck was laid in front of me the purpose of the first card occured to me: 1 – Me, Now. The 8 of Earth Reversed: a man teaching his daughter how to drum. A card in reverse indicates some interference or question… How perfect!
Looking at the one card lying there, with no plan in mind, I cast my mind into the ether, fishing for inspiration–and I came up with Do and Don’t Do. So we pulled one card for each:
2 – Do: 2 of Fire — consider your choices
3 – Don’t Do: 8 of Air — No need for group discussion!
Then we pulled a card for 4 – Going Forward – the Child of Earth appeared, wondering how his fascinating apple is put together. Each time I see him, I’m charmed; it often seems to be referring to the One We Are and the small role “the one I am” plays in helping the Great One awaken.
The spread felt coherent, appropriate and clear, yet there was a question about the choices before me, and I like symmetry – if I pulled a clarifying card for Do, I wanted to pull one for Don’t as well… and if I did that, the spread needed a new “Going Forward”… and so we pulled 3 more cards.
To clarify Do (2 of Fire – my choice), 5 – 6 of Air Reversed with its many people choosing their own way to greet the New Dawn. In reverse it seems to say that it may not be easy, or clear how to do it my way.
Clarifying Don’t (8 of Earth – no need for discussion), 6 – 7 The Canoe tells me to focus on my goal. Of course, the question that sprang to mind was: What is my goal? so…
I clarified Going Forward (Child of Earth) with 7 – Elder of Air, playing his own tune in his own way. (That seems ‘lucky’!)
Joan and I talked about the Diploma for Business Management I got at 33 (that resulted in my career that provides my pension that enables me to do what I do now!) and the option to take singular courses within each of the Programs. We talked about traveling and the ability to take courses “at one’s own pace, in one’s own place” as they say. We also talked about the feeling I’ve had as long as I remember that underlies the acronym MOM… I am an ordinary woman (much as I try to be different) that keeps me humble as I walk my Red Road. I play my own tune, informed and expressed through the breath in my body.
I am very grateful I can ask MOM for advice through The Gaian Tarot; it’s a language She and I share; with Joan, too!
A last comment: as I was preparing the pictures for this post, I noticed the many synchronicities in the numbers — MOM’s delightful dance!
