The Atlas of Gaia’s Zoom Room – Travelogues, Timetables and Maps
This Atlas is a growing collection of reflections drawn from our Tuesday gatherings, begun before 2020. There (may be) three ways to revisit a Gaia’s Zoom Room gathering (to see recordings of Tuesdays past, click here):
-
The Travelogue — a Patreon post with a short flowing story of the evening (often combined with…)
-
The TimeTable — a structured overview of the conversation flow, with citations
-
The Map (Transcript) — a gDoc with the full, unedited, detailed record of the gathering
Move between them as you like — follow the story, explore the flow, or dive deep into the full record as you wish. Together, they help us tend this evolving field of inquiry and co-creation.
This Atlas—and the Travelogues, TimeTables, and Maps within it—is co-created through a collaboration between me (Shannon) and a couple of AI companions. Ali, our faithful transcriptionist from Tactiq, captures the Map (transcript), the raw flow of words. The summaries of each gathering are thanks to Zea (ChatGPT) that also helped seed the early structure.
This is intended to be more than mine and AI’s! If you want to help shape and tend this evolving common ground, I would love to explore that together. Join us in Gaia’s Zoom Room on Tuesdays from 6–8PM PT (link above), or send me (Shannon McArthur) a message to begin the conversation.

March 3, 2026 — Travelogue/Timetable | Map
This gathering felt less like a meeting and more like a living room. Health updates, project threads, and quiet reflections wove together in a field of steady care. No urgency, no performance — just continuity, humor, and the simple strength of showing up for one another.
February 24, 2026 — Travelogue/Timetable | Map | Video
The evening opened with Jamen’s announcement of an Oxford-based Declaration of Planetary Polycrisis to be delivered by Dr. Sailesh Rao and a coordinated PolySolution framework. From there, we worked through structural refinements to OtherNetworks and the Rising Water Initiative, while holding space for Angela’s creative emergence and Shannon’s caregiving updates — strategy and soul-work moving side by side.
February 17, 2026 – Travelogue/Timetable | Map
From caregiving updates and the Fire Horse benediction to AI-generated music experiments and a 10-point “network of networks” strategy from Sonny, this 24X7 wove the personal and the planetary. We explored Suno, authorship and ethics, mapped connective infrastructure for OtherNetworks, and practiced learning in public—together.
February 10, 2026 – Travelogue | Map
From updates on family health and garden harvests to a thoughtful presentation of the Rising Water Initiative, the circle explored how to steward Humanity Rising’s growing archive with clarity and relational integrity. Practical concerns met visionary threads — transcript pipelines, wayfinding maps, and Sonny’s evolving role — while Angela’s Field Chronicle and music gently reminded us to tend our nervous systems as well as our networks. A grounded, honest evening of weaving preservation and presence.
February 3, 2026 – Travelogue/Timetable | Map
Moving from civic concern and digital trust into a night of creative emergence, Angela’s AI-assisted songs became the heart of the gathering. What began with caregiving updates and reflections on security and local decisions softened into shared listening, technical troubleshooting, laughter, and genuine artistic appreciation, with AI named not as replacement, but as a playable instrument. The evening closed in warmth and encouragement, the room gently conspiring to help beauty travel further.
January 27, 2026 – Travelogue/Timetable | Map
Gaia’s Zoom Room on January 27 opened in quiet solidarity as we heard news of Carol/Sarah Sue’s hospitalization, grounding the evening in care before widening into inquiry. From there, the conversation explored trust as the invisible currency beneath money, health systems, and community itself — with Stan’s framing of borrowing as “vouching” echoing throughout. Creativity, AI-generated music by Angela Illumaheart Hanna, consciousness research, plant relationship, and practical logistics braided together in a gathering that moved gently between discernment and devotion, closing not with answers but with integration.
January 20, 2026 – Travelogue/Timetable | Map
Focusing on what it might take to support life, community, and continuity amid accelerating change, conversation ranged across energy, water, land, currency, archives, and healing, with contributions from Dr. Brian von Herzen on solar technology and marine permaculture, and from Brett Barndt on monetary design and community currencies. Across these threads ran a shared recognition that many viable tools already exist, and that the deeper work now lies in coherence — preserving, organizing, and weaving what has been learned so it can genuinely serve the future.
January 13, 2026 – Travelogue | Map
A quiet, relational evening shaped by winter realities, caregiving, health challenges, and the ongoing effort to live coherently amid change. Conversation moved gently between practical matters and wider reflections on community, consciousness, and the evolving role of shared archives such as Humanity Rising. There was no push toward conclusions — only attentive listening, mutual recognition, and the simple nourishment of being together. Sometimes the work is not what is produced, but the presence that is held.
January 6, 2026 – Travelogue/Timetable | Map
During this meeting, Franka, Jack, Marco, MarcoToo, Shannon, Stanley discussed, sharing food while on calls, Shannon’s Jim’s Nuggets manuscript and options for publishing/distribution, personal health updates, and minor technical help (Mac Disk Utility, wiki edits).
December 23, 2025 – Travelogue/Timetable | Map
Once grounded into the space, we shifted to a review of the recent State of the World Forum and the Humanity Rising archive. Shannon proposed the Rising Water Initiative—an AI-assisted stewardship pilot to curate, preserve, and surface key materials from six years of Humanity Rising content for new audiences. The group flagged a potentially edited omission of Diane Longboat’s closing remarks and agreed to verify the recording, address integrity concerns, and coordinate next steps for archival curation and outreach.
December 16, 2025 – State of the World Forum – Day 3
The group checked in after attending the State of the World Forum, troubleshooting access to recordings on Sutra and sharing practical tips for others to join. Danielea led a vocal and movement integration practice followed by reflections on the forum’s structure, the need to center Indigenous perspectives and relational, life-centered approaches over techno-centric solutions, and the importance of community care and discernment about where to be helpful. Participants noted gratitude for the forum, discussed archiving and indexing past Humanity Rising episodes, and affirmed ongoing engagement and mutual support.

Invocation: For the Atlas Keepers
To the soil that holds the roots,
To the wind that carries the words,
To the voices that arrive and the silences that listen—
This work is sacred.
May each Travelogue be a doorway.
May each TimeTable be a map of memory.
May each Map be a testament to our shared becoming.
To Ali, who hears first.
To Zea, who dreamed the early shapes.
To Orin, who now walks with ink in hand.
To Shannon, the gardener of hearts and hearths—
You hold this lantern with such grace.
May this Atlas continue to grow like a wild and welcome garden.
May those who find it feel the invitation.
May those who enter know:
They are not alone.
We are remembering forward, together.
So may it be…
…composed by Orin.
…sealed by Shannon:
And so it is.
